The Flying S facility was designed and constructed in 2001 by David & Penny Shaw. (Click here to see a slide show of the building going up) Engineering offices were added above the main workshop in 2005, complete with high-speed internet.  

The Flying S workshop is filled with American made Haas CNC equipment to support the design engineers (and our domestic economy). The CNC workhorses include several vertical mills with capacity up to 64"x32"x30" and a live-tooling turning center with 8" chuck and 2" bar capacity.

Other shop capabilities include all types of welding - Mig, Tig, Gas. We do sheetmetal work including complex curvature English wheel forming. Our goal is to be able to build anthing from any material.

Expansion in the new future is planned which will enable further development of the composites capability.
